COVID-19 | Two more compound and building declared containment areas in Shillong

District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 30th and 31st August, 2020 has declared more houses and building as COVID-19 containment areas.

This include the Matri Nawas Building at Jail Road, the house of Raj Jaiswal and Nabin Chettri in Gopalji Compound at Jhalupara, house of Vishnu Chettri and Dinesh Thapa in Maya Compound at Jhalupara.

The order restricted unregulated entry and exit movement in the affected areas which require aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of the health of the general public against any possible spread of COVID-19.

The District Magistrate has also lifted the containment order from the building of Adentis Lyngdoh, Lawsohtun Block IV (Main Road) based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts.
