Covid-19 vaccination drive held at Khliehriat CHC

The COVID- 19 vaccination drive was held at Khliehriat Community Health Centre (CHC), East Jaintia Hills District today. Dr. D. Shylla, District Medical and Health Officer, East Jaintia Hills District and Dr.(Mrs) E.L Kharmutee, DIO I/C, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat took their dose of COVID -19 vaccine.

While addressing on the COVID-19 Vaccination Drive, the District Medical and Health Officer of East Jaintia Hills District, Dr. D. Shylla, encouraged all the beneficiaries to come forward and take the COVID-19 vaccination when their turn comes in order to protect themselves against the virus.

While speaking on being vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine, Dr. (Mrs) E.L Kharmutee, DIO I/C, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat said that she felt no side effects and she urged people to overcome the fear of the vaccine. She encouraged all the healthcare workers and those on the frontlines to get vaccinated against COVID -19 and to lead by example to help build the confidence in others who will be receiving the vaccine in the near future.

During the vaccination drive, health workers and staff of Khliehriat CHC also received their first shot of the COVID- 19 vaccine.
