Cowardly act took our braveheart: Arunachal CM mourns airman killed in Pahalgam terror attack

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has issued a strong condemnation of the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 28 civilians dead and several others injured. Among the victims was Corporal Tage Hailyang of the Indian Air Force, a native of Arunachal Pradesh.
In a heartfelt message, CM Khandu said, “My deepest condolences for the tragic loss of lives in yesterday’s reprehensible terrorist attack. The entire nation stands united in grief and determination to combat these cowardly acts of terror. We will provide a fitting response to cross-border terrorism.”
The Chief Minister expressed particular sorrow at the loss of Corporal Hailyang, who was killed while visiting Pahalgam with his wife. “Corporal Tage Hailyang, a brave son of Tajang village in Lower Subansiri district, was taken from us in a senseless and unprovoked act of terror. He will forever be remembered with honour and pride,” Khandu said.
Calling the attack a direct assault on India’s unity and peace, Khandu affirmed Arunachal Pradesh’s unwavering solidarity with the rest of the country. “The people of Arunachal Pradesh stand firmly with our fellow citizens across India. Together, we will continue to foster peace, prosperity, and regional stability,” he stated.
He also expressed confidence in the strength and resolve of India’s armed forces. “Our security forces are fully capable of responding to such barbaric acts. Terror will never succeed in breaking the spirit of this nation,” he added.
