Curfew promulgated in Mawkynrew village due to vandalism of RKM School

The District Magistrate East Khasi Hills District has promulgated curfew under Section 163 BNSS in Mawkynrew Village under Madanrting PS with immediate effect in view of the serious deterioration of law and order in the said village.

Curfew was promulgated in on receipt of reports of vandalism causing destruction to property and persons at Ramakrishna Mission School, Mawkynrew.

The order observed such activities are likely to continue with every likelihood of causing serious breach of peace and tranquility and may lead to loss of life and property.
