Cyclone Remal hits Meghalaya; 5.6 magnitude earthquake shakes Jowai

Amidst heavy rainfall and strong storms caused by cyclone Remal, Jowai in Meghalaya felt tremors on Wednesday.
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck Myanmar at 6:43 PM.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 110 km, with the epicenter located at latitude 23.46 North and longitude 94.54 East in Myanmar.
