Dalmia Cement organize free health check-up camp in East Jaintia Hills

Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Dalmia Cement Bharat ltd in collaboration with East Jaintia Hills District Medical & Health Office has organized a free health checkup camp in Umlong village, East Jaintia Hills district on Monday.

Above 65 persons from different age groups walked in for free health checkup, free consultation and free medicines. Dr. Ramanand Prasad from OHC- Dalmia Cement and Dr. Graceful Bamon from Khliehriat conducted the health checkups, consultation of all walk-ins.

According to the two physicians, the nutritional level among most of the individuals was found low and multi vitamins, nutritional items were served accordingly.

In addition, medicines for treating diseases such as flu, skin were provided. Few cases with high bp were advised for further checkups.

It may be mentioned that dwellers staying in rural areas have limited access to primary health care services and moreover, due to lack of awareness their approach to health centres are limited.
