Daring Pathfinders organizes cloth donation drive in Assam’s Pesamhuru
Daring Pathfinders, a renowned community-driven organization, successfully conducted a heartwarming cloth donation drive on December 15 in the remote village of Pesamhuru in Assam’s Kamrup district.
The initiative aimed to provide essential clothing to underprivileged families and brought much-needed relief to the village residents. The event witnessed overwhelming participation from both donors and beneficiaries. Volunteers of Daring Pathfinders, in collaboration with local community leaders, worked diligently to collect, sort, and distribute clothing items to over 36 families in the village. The donations included warm clothing, daily wear, and children’s apparel, addressing critical needs ahead of the harsh winter season.
Kirtiman Borah, general secretary of Daring Pathfinders, highlighted the deeper meaning behind the initiative, saying, “Clothing is more than just a basic need; it’s a symbol of self-respect and comfort. Through this donation drive, we not only aim to provide immediate relief but also inspire others to join hands in making a tangible difference in people’s lives.”
Echoing these sentiments, Hriday Jyoti Ojha, CEO of Daring Pathfinders, emphasized the organization’s mission: “At Daring Pathfinders, we are committed to uplifting underserved communities and bringing positive change. This drive is a small but significant step toward ensuring dignity and comfort for the residents of Pesamhuru.”
The event also promoted sustainability, encouraging donors to recycle and reuse clothing to minimize waste. Additionally, an awareness session was conducted to educate villagers on the importance of community support and sustainable living practices.
Residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the initiative. “This is the first time we have witnessed such an effort in our village. The clothes will make a big difference to our families, especially during the cold nights,” said Niren Teron, a beneficiary of the drive.
Looking ahead, Daring Pathfinders plans to extend similar initiatives to other remote villages in Assam, with several outreach programs in the pipeline. The organization has urged individuals and groups to come forward and contribute to such noble causes, fostering a stronger, more compassionate society.
