Dasakhiat to review Fisheries, other departments

Taking over as new minister, Dasakhiatbha Lamare on Monday said he would soon review the three departments – Fisheries, Public Works Department (Buildings) and General Administration Department.  

Lamare also met the heads of the three departments on his first day in office. “I will require some time to study the departments. However, I am committed to finding out ways and means to further improve the functioning of these departments,” he told reporters.  

Asked, the young minister maintained that he is not interested in pointing fingers at the works done by his predecessors.

With regards to the fisheries department, Lamare said that he is aware of the aqua mission and its objection for increasing fish production in the state and would like to take the opportunity to ensure people of the state, especially in the rural areas are benefited from the mission.
