DC Appeals to all retired doctors and paramedics to volunteer their Service

In view of the surging cases of Covid-19 in the District and the State as a whole and keeping in mind the need for psycho-social care and medical related support/advice during the course of the Pandemic, Shri Garod L.S.N. Dykes, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, has appealed to all the retired Doctors, Paramedics, psychiatrists, counsellors in the District to volunteer  their service as Medical/Mental Health/Psycho-social Care support during this pandemic.

The Deputy Commissioner said those willing to contribute their service for the cause are  kindly requested to submit their information details to the office of the  Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills by email to [email protected]

The retired professionals willing to contribute their service will be available for the public in need through the phone consultation process with in a fixed timing (Morning and Evening) feasible to the concerned volunteer.

He also informed that the contact details and time schedule of the volunteers will be share for public information through print and electronic Media and in the District website.
