DC East Khasi Hills order closure of all shops

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo on Friday has directed all essential shops in the different localities to remain closed on the 15^th & 16^th May, 2021 (Saturday & Sunday). Only wholesale shops which have been approved to open vide earlier order will remain open.

This is in continuation to the order No.C&S.3/2009/PT.III/102, Dated Shillong, the 8^th May, 2021 promulgating curfew in the District and with a reference to this office order No.C&S.2/CVD/2021/ORD/49 dated 8^th May, 2021 regulating opening of essential shops in the district.

In view of the curfew being promulgated in the district, all citizens shall remain indoors and should not move or mingle around, except for medical emergencies, vaccination and other essential requirements with a valid pass.

E-commerce, home deliveries, pharmacies and petrol pumps may operate as per earlier notification.

Any other emergent opening of shops on specific requirement basis will be regulated by separate orders. SDOs (C) and BDOs in areas other than Shillong Urban Agglomeration will similarly regulate the same strictly on urgent requirement basis. MIPR
