DCIC Jowai conducts workshop to empower MSMEs under RAMP initiative
A one-day awareness workshop was organized by the District Commerce & Industries Centre (DCIC), Jowai, on October 10 at the conference room of the DCIC office.
Organized by the office of the General Manager, DCIC Jowai, the workshop aimed to educate local entrepreneurs about the benefits and opportunities available through the RAMP scheme.
Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) is a comprehensive program aimed at strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in India. It focuses on improving market access, strengthening institutions, enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs, and fostering innovation. Through strategic interventions, RAMP provides MSMEs with the necessary resources, training, and financial support to scale their businesses, contributing to job creation and economic growth. The initiative is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate business challenges, capitalize on available opportunities, and achieve sustained growth.
The inaugural function was attended by B Warjri, General Manager, DCIC, SE Kharpran, Functional Manager, DCIC, E Pyrbot, Functional Manager, DCIC, and S Pale, IPO, along with other officers from the DCIC.
B Warjri informed the participants that the RAMP initiative is an excellent program designed to support their business growth. He encouraged them to engage fully with the resources and training available through the initiative and assured them that the DCIC officers are always ready to assist, inviting them to reach out anytime for inquiries or support.
E Suting, Principal of Good Shepherd School, Khimmusniang, Jowai, and resource person for the workshop, was also present for the inaugural function. He motivated local entrepreneurs to participate actively in the workshop, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the resources provided by the DCIC office. Sharing his own experience, he noted that while financial support from the government is more accessible, the real challenge many faces is the lack of knowledge and skills. He stressed the need for continuous learning and skill development, encouraging participants to pursue training and information to better navigate the complexities of business.
SE Kharpran, Functional Manager, DCIC, encouraged participants to develop strong willpower and take ownership of their learning journey. She urged them to apply the knowledge gained not only to advance their own businesses but also to motivate others and serve as role models for aspiring entrepreneurs.
E Pyrbot, Functional Manager, DCIC, provided a brief overview of the workshop and the RAMP scheme, highlighting its objectives and the various opportunities available under the program.
