Defunct spring rejuvenated in Laskein Block

A defunct spring in Khlookynrin Village under Laskein C&RD Block, West Jaintia Hills District has been rejuvenated by Aroh Foundation in venture with Indian Water Partnership (IWP).

The rejuvenated spring is dedicated to the village community for mitigating domestic use, agricultural water crisis and to promote integrated Water Shed Management.

The newly rejuvenated spring is handed over on 3rd October 2022 to Spring Water Committee of Khlookynrin by Taiwanyo War Divisional Soil & Water Conservation Officer, Jowai.

Other present were Patrick Lamare Range Officer, Bhabani Shankar Nayak Project Manager, Aroh Foundation, Spainki Niang Agriculture NRM Expert and Local Headman, General Secretary, and the Executive Members of the Village.
