Deputy CM asks LO to take legal action into coal scam
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday asked the Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma and others to take legal action against the alleged coal scam.
“Why not he (Mukul) take the process of legal action? In fact, allegation is what if you really have hard evidences, I would suggest those persons concerned who made the allegation don’t make it allegations only in the press, you need to go deep as we do have independent authorities concerned be it CBI and other agencies, be it central agencies be it state agencies, we do have here,” Tynsong said.
“I personally feel any person specially the Leader of Opposition if he is really serious about this allegation then why not initiate and go file it in the court or be it in independent agencies then you will ultimately find reality and the truth and the facts of such allegations made,” he said.

Stating that it is not possible for the government to take action against the “thousands of such allegations” made in the media, Tynsong said, “I personally feel, this is not at all possible. If we take up this issue individually or as a government then we don’t have time to work for the state.”
