Deputy CM lays foundation stones for Rs 100 crore road projects in Nartiang Constituency
Deputy Chief Minister and MLA of Nartiang Constituency, Sniawbhalang Dhar, laid the foundation stones for Rs 100 crore road projects in Nartiang and a Rs 2 crore tourism development project in Wahiajer on November 30.
The Sohphoh-Mookabeng Road spans 3.780 km with a width of 3.75 m and is estimated to cost Rs 12.563 crore. The Kdohkule Internal Road stretches 3.395 km with a width of 3.75 m, costing Rs 10.931 crore. The Mynpun-Pdein Mukhim Road covers a distance of 4.080 km with a width of 5.50 m, and its construction will cost Rs 13.803 crore.
The Ummulong-Nartiang Road, measuring 10.00 km in total, includes 2.70 km of intermediate lane, 2.97 km of four-lane, and 4.33 km of double-lane sections, with an overall cost of Rs 62.703 crore.
These projects, implemented under the State Roads Fund 2024-25, are expected to be completed by March 2025.
Dhar also inaugurated an ambulance for the Wahiajer Multi-Sports Complex Management Development Society and highlighted various developmental initiatives in the constituency, include C&RD Block, a police station, and an international stadium to support local talent and improve public services.
