Deputy Commissioners of West Garo Hills District & East Garo Hills District transferred

In a minor bureaucratic reshuffles, the Meghalaya Government has transferred the dynamic Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District Ram Singh, IAS as Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Finance Department.

In place of Singh, Swapnil Tembe, IAS Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills District, Tura while Ramakrishna Chitturi, IAS Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Finance & Community & Rural Development Departments shall also function as Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Planning Department.

Mitali Chandra, IAS Sub-Divisional Officer (Sardar) East Khasi Hills District, Shillong is transferred and posted as Under Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department, Additional Mission Director, National Health Mission and as Director, Meghalayan Age Limited (MAL) under the Tourism Department.

Relieving Tembe, Levenstone C. Marak, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar shall also hold charge of the post of Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar in addition to his own duties.
