Dhar takes over as Chairperson of Lokayukta

Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik on Monday administered oath to Bhalang Dhar, Retd, IAS as newly appointed Chairperson of Lokayukta, Meghalaya at Raj Bhavan.

By virtue of the power vested by sub-section (1) of Section 6 read with sub- section (1) of Section 4 of the Meghalaya Lokayukta Act, 2014, Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Meghalaya do appointed Bhalang Dhar, retired IAS as Chairperson of the Meghalaya Lokayukta as per clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the aforesaid Act with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
