Digital learning to be introduce soon in East Jaintia Hills
The 61st Teacher’s Day was celebrated on Monday at Khliehriat West Community Hall, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat. The programme was organized by the office of the District School Education Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat and office of the Sub- Divisional School Education Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.
Addressing as chief guest, Kyrmen Shylla, Minister of Social Welfare Department urged the teachers and officers of the district to work together and develop the ability of connecting with people to serve them better and to provide the best service for the all-round development of the people of the district.
Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat informed certain steps have been taken in the district like the introduction of Smart classes in some schools which will also be expanded to other schools in the district as well based on the results shown in the existing ones. He also informed that Digital learning will also be introduced and launched soon.
The District awards was conferred in the Secondary level to Smti. Tasiana Kympat, B.A (Hons) B.Ed, Assistant Teacher, Tluh Secondary School, in upper primary level to Smt. Draitis Paslein, Assistant Teacher, Pala UP School and in lower primary level to Smt. Rufina Kyndait, HSSLC, Assistant Teacher, Dkhiah Government L.P School.
The best Scout Master was awarded to Shri. Mondaystar Nongtdu, A/T Sutnga Government U. P School, Sutnga and the Best Guide Captain to Miss. Laxmi Sarkar, A/T Star Public School, Lumshnong.
The other highlights of the programme include cultural dance, songs performed by students of different schools of the District. Others who also spoke were LS. Lyngdoh, incharge District School Education Officer (DSEO), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, P Dkhar, SDSEO, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat and Salanbor Kmar, Co-ordinator, DMC.
