DM issues notice on mandatory adoption procedure in East Khasi Hills

The District Magistrate (DM), East Khasi Hills, has issued a notice to inform and remind all residents of the District about the mandatory procedure for adoption as per the Adoption Regulation, 2022.

According to the regulation, all adoption must be processed through the District Magistrate, the Specialized Adoption Agencies and the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO).

It is crucial to note that any adoption carried out without obtaining an official Adoption Order from the District Magistrate as per the Adoption Regulation, 2022 will be considered illegal and void.
