Dogs registration mandatory in Shillong Municipal Board area

The Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has informed all residents within the Shillong Municipal Area to register their pet dogs with the Shillong Municipal Board and to obtain tags on payment of fees of Rs. 250/- only.

All pet owners are to ensure that their dogs are not staying in public places/roads. Dogs found without tags will be treated as strays and necessary action will be taken as per Municipal Act.
