Dolloi of Elaka Nartiang accused of raping one woman

Dolloi of Elaka Nartiang Hepsing Dhar has been accused of raping one woman in one of the villages under Nartiang PS, West Jaintia Hills District.

According to a complaint lodged by the victim, she informed the Dolloi who is kobiraij or traditional healer committed the heinous crime in the residence of her maternal aunt.

The incident occurred on 30 November, last at around 3 pm in the evening.

The victim alleged that the Dolloi completed the ritual of blessing of the all the male members of her family and also that of her female family members. He called her and started talking with unpleasant and also told her to undress as some evil omen is inside her.

The victim refused to undress and he gave some black peppers to chew and after consuming she lost conciousness and then raped her.

When contacted Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills Bikram D Marak confirmed that they have received such a complaint and investigation is underway.

Notably, the Dolloi was also accused of raping one female and molested one minor girl in 2018.
