Dr Kharlukhi sets to become a strong voice of Meghalaya, NE: Conrad

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said that the newly elected member of Rajya Sabha Dr WR Kharlukhi will be a strong voice of the state and the Northeast region.  

Congratulating Dr Kharlukhi on his victory, Sangma, who is also the National People’s Party (NPP) national president, said, “I am sure that he (Dr Kharlukhi) will give a strong voice to the issues related to Meghalaya in particular and the North East in general.”

“I am sure with the experience and knowledge that Dr Kharlukhi has, he will be able to bring a lot of enrichment and lots of issues that are important to the state in the parliament,” he added.

The Chief Minister further thanked all the members and MLAs of the coalition partners for extending their support and casting their votes in favour of Dr Kharlukhi, who is also the NPP state president.
