Draft electoral rolls available for inspection in West Khasi Hills

The Election Commission of India has issued directions for the conduct of the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with reference to 1st January 2025 as the qualifying date. The draft Photo Electoral Rolls for 32-Nongstoin (ST), 33-Rambrai Jyrngam (ST), and 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituencies are available for inspection at the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and at all prominent locations (Polling Stations).

The District Election Officer invites claims and objections regarding any wrong inclusion or exclusion of voters. Objections against such inclusion may be filed by any eligible elector of the Electoral Rolls under 32-Nongstoin (ST), 33-Rambrai Jyrngam (ST), and 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituencies directly to the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and Common Service Centres (CSCs) in every Polling Station from 29th October 2024 to 28th November 2024 using prescribed forms available free of cost, namely, Form 6, 7, 8 & 6B (for verification & authentication) as the case may be.

All political parties, public leaders, local leaders, Syiem, headmen, and local organizations are requested to extend their full cooperation in this regard. Any omissions or lapses related to the registration of electors may be brought to the notice of the Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of 32-Nongstoin (ST), 33-Rambrai Jyrngam (ST), and 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituencies within the scheduled period as follows:

Publication of Integrated Draft Electoral Rolls: 29.10.2024 (Tuesday)
Period for Filing Claims and Objections: 29.10.2024 (Tuesday) to 28.11.2024 (Thursday)
Special Campaign Dates: 15.11.2024 (Friday) & 16.11.2024 (Saturday)
Disposal of Claims and Objections: 21.11.2024 (Thursday) & 22.11.2024 (Friday)
Final Publication of Electoral Roll: By 24.12.2024 (Tuesday)
Final Publication of Electoral Roll: 06.01.2025 (Monday)
