Drug supplier arrested with heroin, cash 2.5 lakh in Nongstoin

A drug supplier was arrested along with heroin and cash of Rs 2.5 lakh in Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills district on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Arbinus Lyngdoh Marshillong (24), District police chief Herbert G Lyngdoh said.

From his possession, a soap box equivalent to 10 grams of suspected heroin together with a large sum of 2.5 lakh cash has been seized.

The accused had been followed by our ANTF team for about 24 hours and is suspected to be a main drug supplier in Themiew area, he said.

The SP informed that a case has been registered and accused is being interrogated to develop more clues into the operation.
