Dry day declared in East Jaintia Hills

Khliehriat, April 17: The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Jaintia Hills District, has declared April 18, 2025, as a Dry Day in view of Good Friday.

All bonded wholesalers, IMFL retailers, bars, canteens, and out-stills in the district must remain closed on that day. Any violation will be dealt with seriously, the Deputy Commissioner said.
