Dry days declared in East Jaintia Hills

In view of the General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 and in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair conduct of the election in the entire District of East Jaintia Hills, the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District has declared the 17th, 18^th & 19th April 2024 (19th April 2024 being the day of poll) and 4th June 2024 (4th June 2024 being the date of counting of votes) as Dry Days in the entire East Jaintia Hills District.

All Wholesalers, IMFL retailers, Bars, Canteens and Out-stills shall remain closed in the entire area of East Jaintia Hills District on the above-mentioned dates.

Any violation of the order will be viewed seriously, added the order of the Deputy Commissioner.
