Dy.IGP (WR) inspects mandir in West Garo Hills
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (Western Range), Onimus Pasi on Saturday conducted an inspection to the Marok Ancholic Mahamaya Mandir, which was recently vandalized by miscreants at Merenggapara village in West Garo Hills district.
He was accompanied by the district Superintendent of Police, Dr MG Raghavendra Kumar.
“The Dy. Inspector General of Police (WR) and the Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills, Tura inspected the place of occurrence so as to closely monitor the issue and to supervise in order the investigation,” Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) Gabriel K Iangrai said in a statement.
He informed that the Investigating team are putting all efforts into ascertaining the facts and circumstances of the case, and most importantly to arrest those involved in desecrating act.
The AIGP said the department once again appeals to all the citizens to refrain from circulating/sharing any misinformation on this matter and to also not fall victim to any rumors or false news that are being circulated.
