East Garo Hills and West Garo Hills clinch volleyball golds at Meghalaya Games
The volleyball courts witnessed thrilling matches at the 6th Meghalaya Games, as districts battled for gold, silver, and bronze medals in both the women’s and men’s categories.
East Garo Hills District claimed the gold medal in the Women’s Category, defeating East Jaintia Hills District in a decisive 3-0 sets victory, with scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-18. East Jaintia Hills District secured the silver medal.
In the Bronze Medal match, South West Garo Hills District emerged victorious against South West Khasi Hills District with scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-15, 23-25, and 15-10, winning 3-2 sets.
In the Men’s Category, West Garo Hills District secured the gold medal by defeating North Garo Hills District in a five-set thriller. The final scores were 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25, and 15-6, leading to a 3-2 sets victory for West Garo Hills. North Garo Hills District secured the silver medal.
South Garo Hills District won the Bronze Medal match against West Khasi Hills District with scores of 25-22, 25-20, 10-25, and 25-14, securing a 3-1 sets victory.
