East Garo Hills Police geared up for incident free Easter Monday
The East Garo Hills Police on Wednesday has decided to go for checking the picnic goers at different strategic places to ensure peaceful celebration of Easter Feast.
The decision was taken in view series of unfortunate events and disturbing incidents had shocked the Garo Hills region on Easter Monday last year resulting in the loss of 7 precious lives,
The police warned the people against consuming alcohol in the public place or engaged in any misconduct in a public place by a drunken person.
They cautioned against reckless driving or drunken driving or creating nuisance in the public place.
Further, the police warned against any act endangering life or personal safety of others.
Making noise by playing loud speakers or Affray / Group clash will not be tolerated at any cost.
Police urged the people from refrain taking picture or videograph of a woman without her consent.
Obscene acts or sing or utter any obscene song / words in public place is prohibited.
They warned against spreading fake news / rumours or criminal intimidation.
The East Garo Hills police iterated they are neither stopping picnics nor restricting celebrations of Easter Monday rather they are going to ensure everyone safety during celebration of Easter Monday by strictly controlling participation of law breakers.
