East Garo Hills police rescued abducted vegetable vendor within 48 hours

In a major break through East Garo Hills police special operation team rescued Hanif Ali (57) years of age who was abducted from Nongchram on Wednesday midnight.

Hanif Ali a vegetable vendor was sleeping in Mahabel Marak’s house when an unknown person entered the house and took him away.

The complaint was lodged at Rongjeng police station on Thursday evening.

On received of information, SP East Garo Hills launched search operation after collecting information from available sources.

On Friday at 1.30 pm operation team led by Dy SP Anthony Ch Momin entered Dimit Chikamagre and busted the hideout where the victim was held and rescued Hanif Ali.

The abductors fled away on seeing Ops team taking advantage of the thick jungle. Operation is on to nab the culprits.
