East Jaintia Hills District collaborates with Khadi Board to launch Skill Training Centre
The Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills District and the Khadi Village Industries Board have signed an MoU to establish a skill centre at Deinchynrum in the DMF Building.
The agreement was led by Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal, IAS and P Toi, Chief Executive Officer of the Meghalaya Khadi and Village Industries Board.
The Khadi and Village Industries Board will occupy one floor, where they will set up their office and skill training centre.
The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that the permanent presence of such a centre would greatly benefit interested youth by providing training opportunities.
Additionally, the office is in advanced discussions with private skill training institutes to establish their permanent training centres on the other two floors of the same building.
