East Jaintia Hills Police seizes 655 grams of Heroin worth 6 Crores

East Jaintia Hills Police arrested a drug smuggler attempting to transport a substantial quantity of heroin into the state at NH06, near Khliehriat Police Station on New Year’s Day at 3:30 am.

The police seized 66 boxes of heroin, weighing 655 grams and worth Rs 6 crores, from a Maruti Swift bearing the registration number ML 05 Q 1702.

 A case has been registered and investigation is underway to uncover more details.
