East Khasi Hills admin shut down all shops at Iewduh

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo on Monday ordered for closure of all shops/stalls at Iewduh, Shillong until further orders.

The order was issued after report was received from the Incident Commander, Zone-IV that the public at Iewduh are not following COVID-19 protocols and that many shops were seen to be crowded.

The order also stated that there are still some persons who are not wearing masks or observing physical distancing with due diligence. It was also observed that people are moving from one locality to another despite restrictions. This laxity is a cause of concern in view of the going fast spread of COVID-19.
