Edmund takes over as Chief Spokeperson of BJP
Former legislator and Garo Hills Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member (CEM) Edmund K Sangma has been appointed as Chief Spokesperson of the Meghalaya State BJP on Sunday.
Sangma was appointed to the said post by Meghalaya State BJP President Ernest Mawrie for the term 2020 to 2023.
Sangma joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on March 2 this year.
Notably in 2018, Sangma who is the BJP leader and vice-president of the state unit resigned and contest the election as an Independent from Raksamgre constituency of West Garo Hills. The BJP fielded Jonathon Rabha from Raksamgre.
