EJDCA hails Kishan Lyngdoh’s leadership and outstanding performance in Ranji Trophy
The East Jaintia District Cricket Association (EJDCA) commends Kishan Lyngdoh for his leadership of the Meghalaya Team and their exceptional performance in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy.
Kishan Lyngdoh made history in this tournament by becoming the first Meghalaya-born player to score a double century in the Ranji Trophy. Throughout the tournament, in 12 innings across 7 matches, he accumulated 695 runs, including his remarkable double century of 268 runs.
Notably, Meghalaya reached the final in the plate group this season but was defeated by Hyderabad by 5 wickets.
In a statement from the General Secretary of EJDCA, Tnebha Phawa, emphasised that Kishan Lyngdoh, hailing from the East Jaintia Hills, has served as an inspiration to many young cricketers in the district with his stellar performance in the Ranji Trophy. Phawa also encouraged aspiring cricketers to follow in his footsteps.
Phawa expressed his wishes for Kishan to continue excelling, aspiring for his dream of representing the National team and securing a spot in the Indian Premier League to exhibit his talents. He emphasized the importance of Kishan being a role model for aspiring cricketers in the district and state.
