EKH DC under quarantine after being expose to COVID-19 patient

East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Matsiewdor War Nongbri is undergoing quarantine after she came in contact with a COVID-19 patient. 

Confirming this on Sunday, Health Minister AL Hek said that this has been done as precautionary measure to contain the spread of the disease. 

“She (War) has been under quarantine since yesterday. RT-PCR test will be conducted as per protocol,” he said. 

Sources informed that she lives in the same compound with a person who tested positive.

They said the patient was a high risk contact of the one of the people who had attended the wedding party held at Greenwood Resort, Guwahati recently.
