Elaborate traffic arrangement in Jowai town for smooth deposition of EVMs

In order to ensure smooth movement of vehicles on official election duty during the deposition of Electronic Voting Machine (EVMs) after the polling for the general election to the august House of JHADC, the Meghalaya Police has chalked out elaborate traffic arrangements in and around Jowai town on the 21st of this month from 2 pm onward.

No entry will be imposed from Thomas Jones Junction towards D.C Office, Tpep-Pale towards Iawmusiang, Mission Compound Road towards Iawmusiang/ D.C Office, H.K. Singh Tri-Junction towards D.C Office, and Dawki Stand towards D.C Office.

There will be diversion of vehicles from Riatsiatsim side towards Mynthong (District Library Side) and Khimmusniang/Jrisalein side to Chutwakhu road and New Hill side/Jowai- Shillong Road to Kynruh Saphlang and Thomas Jones Road. All (four) parking lots at Iawmusiang will be evacuate from 03:00 PM onwards.
