Essay writing & Drawing as part of North East Festival
Commemorating Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav, the State Council of Science Technology and Environment (SCSTE) will organize a week long North East Festival 2022 from 28 April to 4 May, 2022 in Shillong.
SCSTE Meghalaya will organise open to all essay writing competition and drawing for students below class 7.
The essay writing competition (1500 to 2000 words) under the theme “Role of Youth in the Development of Meghalaya”, while for drawing competition the theme is “Climate Change”
The SCSTE invites citizen of Meghalaya to participate in the competition and winner will be awarded with cash prize- 1st Prize- Rs. 10,000/-, 2nd Prize- Rs 8,000/-, 3rd Prize- Rs 6,000/- and 10 Consolation Prizes of Rs 3,000/- for each competition.
The competition will be held in two stage prcess:-
Stage I: Initially all entries will have to be submitted by uploading the written Essay or drawings in the website. The same can also be submitted through the whatsapp nos. 9615959820, 8414084010 & 8014445081 or by directly submitting to the Office of the State Council of Science Technology & Environment, Meghalaya, behind Bethany Hospital, Nongrim Hills on any working day.
Participants are to write their names, age, class (for drawing only), address & contact no in the drawing & essay sheets at the time of submission. Last date for receiving the entries is 28 April, 2022.
Important condition: – All participants in the essay writing are advised to have the writing in original and that no content has been plagiarised in any way:
Stage-II: 40 best entries from each competition will be selected to compete in the finals to be held at Shillong College, Shillong on 4 May, 2022 between 10pm-12 Noon. Topics of the essay and drawing will be related with the themes.
