Family of three including one and half year baby injured in road collision

A family of three including a one and half year old boy were seriously injured after the scooty in which they were travelling was dashed by a Mahindra Bolero Pick Up vehicle on Monday evening.

Police said that Samborlangki Dkhar,20 yrs along with his wife Erinsha Langlein,19 with their 1.5 year old boy were travelling on their scooty (ML 04 D 6364) towards Ummulong, West Jaintia Hills District.

Police said their scooty was dashed by Mahindra Bolero Pick up (ML04D-0473) driven by unidentified driver fled away) who was proceeding towards Jowai side and fully plying on a wrong side of the road.

The accident occurred at NH-6 along Lad Mukhla village in a sharp curve and plain portion of the road adjacent Nangbah junction.

Police said that the family of three was shifted to Hospital by good samaritans. Samborlangki was referred to NEIGRIHMS Shillong and had been discharged on Tuesday evening while mother and the toddler were referred to Civil hospital Shillong and both were admitted.

Police said the driver of the Bolero fled away after the incident and had not reported at the BH since then.
