First Chartered Accountant office in East Jaintia Hills District inaugurated
East Jaintia Hills District of late has become an industrial hub and rich coal field in the state of Meghalaya with nine cement factories being set up over the years but for maintaining their balance sheets they have to go to Shillong or outside the state as there is no chartered accountant within the district until today.
As the first ever Chartered Accountant Office of “Premi Dkhar & Associates” was inaugurated at Khliehriat West (Wika Complex, First Floor, East Jaintia Hills) on Saturday.
The office was inaugurated by Kyrmen Shylla, Minister of Revenue Department and was blessed by his most Rev. Victor Lyngdoh, Bishop Jowai Diocese in the presence of the parents and family members of CA. Premi Dkhar.
Kyrmen Shylla, in his speech congratulated Premi Dkhar for his achievement and said that it is a blessing for the entire region. He also said that it is an inspiration for the youths to take up this line of profession.
Kyrmen also MLA of Khliehriat extended his wishes to Premi Dkhar so that he will be able to work for the people.
Most Rev.Victor Lyngdoh DD blessed Premi Dkhar and his work ahead and advise him to always look up to God in everything that he does. He also said to always work with integrity and to help the poor and the needy.
Premi Dkhar expressed his gratefulness to God, his parents and his family. He also thanked Kyrmen Shylla and most Rev. Victor Lyngdoh for their words of encouragement.
The function was presided by Felix Synnah Syiem, Education Secretary of Parish Lad Rymbai.
Premi Dkhar is a son of Mrs Tharsila Dkhar and Mr Nowel Phawa from Iongkaluh village, East Jaintia Hills District. Premi Dkhar started his schooling from Iongkaluh and then later on joined Khliehriat Higher Secondary Shillong. He completed his 12th (Commerce) from Shillong College and his B.Com from St. Anthony’s College Shillong and completed Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Eastern Region Kolkata.
