First ever “Road to Matsuri” held in North East at NEHU

The “Road to Matsuri” held for the first time in the North East at North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) witnessed an ambitious partnership between JN Suzuki and JETS 24*7 (Jaiaw Ehrngiew Transport Society).
To foster the spirit of togetherness among motorcyclists, an event “Road to Matsuri” was organised by JN Suzuki on Saturday marked by a potpourri of thrilling bike stunts and other attractive activities such as cosplay, reels competition.
Managing Director of JN Suzuki Pristymai Jyrwa Nongsiej said, “We will also be collaborating with JETS 24*7, the taxi aggregator to get a taxi two-wheeler license. They have the same intention as ours which will bring a lot of benefits to the public. This is a home-grown company. At the same time, the passengers are kept safe, the drivers also have been verified and they can be traced. The charges are also minimal. The collaboration will pave the way for employment and job creation.”
Speaking about the event, General Manager of JN Suzuki Dhyan Pun said, “All the motorcycle riders get together along with other riders from different brands. It’s a motorcycling building community festival where all riders come together and get to know each other. This is how we promote this festival. This is the first time in North East India. We have had two other festivals in Delhi and Bangalore.”
The festival organisers expect a turnout of 500 participants and hope that it will be a successful one.
The event “Road to Matsuri” where Matsuri is a Japanese word for festivity saw bike stunts performed by professionals. There was a display of vehicles, music performances by Colors, Wanbha, cos play, treasure hunt, reels competition.
