Former BJP leader from North Garo Hills joins AITC

Former president of the BJP North Garo Hills District Manik Sangma on Saturday joined the opposition All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).

Manik was welcomed to the party by Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.

“Rejecting the unholy alliance of anti-people’s MDA government, BJP North Garo Hills District president Manik Sangma joined TMC today,” Mukul said.

“I wholeheartedly welcome him to the TMC family. Together, we promise to serve our state and its people with renewed vigour,” he added.
