Former Meghalaya CS appointed as new Chief Information Commissioner
The state Cabinet on Wednesday approved the appointment of former chief secretary RV Suchiang as the new state Chief Information Commissioner for a period of 3 years.
Addressing media persons, cabinet minister and government spokesperson Paul Lyngdoh said, “Today, the cabinet has approved the proposal that RV Suchiang IAS retired be appointed as new state Chief Information Commissioner for a period of 3 years.”

He said the post of the Chief Information Commissioner has become vacant in view of the retirement of the retired IPS officer H Nongpluh on November 14, 2024.
