Foundation Stone for Sub Divisional Hospital laid in West Jaintia Hills
The foundation stone for construction of Sub Divisional Hospital was laid by Home Minister Lakmen Rymbui at Jarain PHC, West Jaintia Hills District on Tuesday.
The existing Jarain Public Health Centre (PHC) will be upgraded to 50 bedded Sub Divisional Hospital, which will be a great boon to the people of Amlarem Region once it is commissioned.
Rymbui expressed his gratitude to the Government for fulfilling the dreams of the people of the area by upgrading the Jarain PHC to Sub Divisional Hospital, which will provide better Health care service not only to people of Amlarem Sub Division but to all in need of health care.
‘Dreams become reality with hardwork’ he dedicated the up -gradation of the PHC to the people of the Amlarem Subdivision.
Emphasising on the importance of health, he encouraged the people to prioritize their own health and to cooperate with the health care provider.
He also thanked the doctors for their dedication, selfless service and care, urging them to continue their service diligently and sincerely.

Lyngdoh, Medical Officer Incharge (MOIC), Jarain PHC Dr. F.A Lamin, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Arwind Khonglah while the programme was graced by Ram Kumar, IAS, Mission Director National Health Mission, Meghalaya and Dr. KC Ajar, District Medical & Health Officer, West Jaintia Hills District.
