Foundation stone laid for new Roman Catholic Cathedral in Jowai

The foundation stone laying ceremony for new Roman Catholic Cathedral was held on Saturday at Moosalyngkot, Jowai.

Rev. Victor Lyngdoh Archbishop of Shillong laid the foundation stone in the presence of Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui, Minister of Transport Sniawbhalang Dhar, Minister of Social Welfare Dept, Kyrmen Shylla, Local MLA Jowai, churches elders and other dignitaries.

The new cathedral will cost at least Rs. 8 crore.
