Free bus service for students of Thangksai village
In order to mitigate the hardship faced by the students for commuting from Thangskai village by moving to Khliehriat daily, the Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited under its CSR initiatives launched a free school bus service for the students of Thangskai village on Monday.
The bus service will benefit 18 students who commute daily to and fro to Khliehriat for pursuing studies.
The Company took the decision for launching bus service as arranging accommodation in town area is also difficult for students considering their economic status.
Launching the bus service, Raju Ranjan Prasad, Unit Head, DCBL unit informed that the welfare activities for community shall continue through company’s CSR initiatives in addition to the developmental activities recently completed in respective village.
He also said skill development training for female participants on Beautician and Tailoring trades.
He added that the Company undertook construction of footpath adjacent to National Highway beside refurbishment of various community buildings, construction of foot bridge and installation of solar street lights.
Dinesh Kumar Bharadwaj, Plant HR Head, DCBL unit, Phaibiang Syrti, village headman, Kison Dkhar, village secretary and other officials from DCBL & Dorbar Shnong who were also present in the launching ceremony.
