Free COVID vaccination available in Govt hospitals & PHC for 60 years and above
Continuing the fight against the COVID-19, the District Medical and Health Officer, East Khasi Hills District informed that free vaccination for the elderly above 60 years of age and people between 45 and 59 years of age with comorbidities will be provided free of charge at all Government Health Centres while an amount of Rs. 250 per shot will be charge in the private Health facilities @Rs.250/- per shot.
According to a press communique, the District Medical and Health Officer urged any person above 60 years or below 59 to 45 years with commorbidities to do COVID vaccination registration, online self-registration in the Co-Win website, through Health Centres, ASHAs, AWWs, Rangbah Shnong, Headman and also walk-in registration in the notified session sites.
The Government Health Institutions notified for given vaccination are Civil Hospital, Shillong, Ganesh Das Government Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Shillong, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institutes of Health and Medical Sciences, Shillong, Reid Provincial Chest Hospital, Shillong, Meghalaya Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science, Shillong, Composite Hospital BSF, Shillong, Unit Hosp 67BN CRPF and BSF Sec Hospital, Mawpat.
The Primary Health Centres (PHCs) at Khatarshnong Khrang, Laitlyngkot, Laitryngew, Swer, Mawkynrew, Jatah, Jongksha, Mawsiatkhnam, Mawroh, Nongspung, Mawphlang, Smit, Mawryngkneng, Diengpasoh, Ryngku, Dangar, Pomlum, Wahsherkhmut, Pongtung, Mawkliaw, Mawlong, Sohbar, Laitkynsew, Shella, Mawsahew, Diengiei and Weilyngkut. Community Health Centres (CHCs) at Mawiong, Mawsynram, Pynursla, Ichamati, Sohra and Sohiong, and State Dispensaries at Rynjah and Laban.
Vaccination will also be given in the private hospitals at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, Bethany Hospital, Shillong, Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Shillong, Supercare Hospital, Shillong and Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
