Fresh landslide near Sonapur tunnel

Due to the heavy rainfall in East Jaintia Hills District a fresh Landslide occurred near the Sonapur Tunnel along NH-6 on Tuesday night.

There has not been any reports of any injuries or damages to any vehicles.

Taking to Facebook, the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills said “Restorative work are in progress. Very heavy rainfall predicted for East Jaintia Hills.”

Commuters are advised to avoid travelling in the vulnerable NH 06 stretch.
