Ganesh sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting minor in East Jaintia Hills

After five long years, justice has been served to a minor girl who was sexually molested by one Ganesh Sutnga in East Jaintia Hills District.

It was on in the evening hours of March 15, 2014, one Ganesh Sutnga attempted to rape a minor girl.

On the basis of complaint lodged by relatives of the victim, Khliehriat police registered Case No 54 (3) 14 U/S 354 IPC R/W Sec 8 POCSO Act.

After completion of investigation and trials, the Special Judge (POCSO) East Jaintia Hills District Khliehriat passed an order on the 19.01.2021 convicting the accused person Ganesh Sutnga and sentenced him to 3 (three) years of rigorious imprisonment .
