Ganol Hydel Project site and NH-51 construction base camp declared containment zone

The District Magistrate, West Garo Hills District and, Ram Singh, IAS has declared Ganol Hydel Project site and NH-51 construction base camp at Wakkolnanggre as containment zone after detection of COVID-19 positive cases.

The order restrict unregulated entry and exit movement in the affected areas which require aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against any possible spread of COVID-19.

No persons public shall be allowed to move into the containment area and inhabitants within the Containment areas shall not move out. All the inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their camp.

No gatherings, events, functions whatsoever of any nature and forms shall be allowed.

No Social, Political, Religious, Economics activities are allowed.

All the shopping establishments of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately. The supply of essential and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the District Administration.

All Government & Private Institutions located within the boundary of the containment areas is hereby closed forth with, till further Orders.

The order will not apply to health workers and essential workers.

Any violation of this order shall entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and I.P.C.
