Garod transferred out of West Jaintia Hills for the second time

With barely six months for the announcement of the assembly elections, West Jaintia Hills deputy commissioner Garod LSN Dykes perhap for being an original inhabitant of the district has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills District.

Garod was posted for the first spell as deputy commissioner of West Jaintia Hills after the assembly election in 2018.

He was transferred out of the district after the announcement of the Lok Sabha election in 2019 and in his place CP Gotmore IAS was posted as DC West Jaintia Hills.

Few months after the Lok Sabha elections, Garod was re-transfered to West Jaintia Hills District while Gotmore was transferred as Secretary Education.

According to official notification No.PER.36/2011/Pt.X/9, G.L.S.N.Dykes, IAS (Non SCS:2011), Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin.

In his place, as per notification PER.36/2011/Pt.X/9-A – B.S.Sohliya, IAS (SCS:2012), Secretary, Water Resources Department and Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board etc., is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai.

Meanwhile notification No.PER.36/2011/Pt.X/9 – B- G. Kharmawphlang, IAS (Non SCS:2014), Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Urban Affairs Department, Director, Urban Affairs etc., is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills District, Ampati.

While notification no. PER.36/2011/Pt.X/9 – C- J.Chelani, IAS (RR:2018), Deputy Secretary Planning Department etc., is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, Williamnagar.
